Compost Coordinator

Description:

•        -Manage the food scrap collection at the drop-off site, including setting up and
•         breaking down the collection bins, ensuring proper sorting of food waste, and
•         transporting the food waste to the compost facility.
•        -Provide information to market attendees about composting and the benefits of
•          diverting food waste from landfills.
•        -Create and lead youth activities related to composting and sustainable practices at
•          the market.
•        -Work with the Market Manager to ensure compliance with local regulations related to
•          composting and food waste management.
•        -Maintain accurate records related to food scrap collection, including weights and
•          volumes of food waste collected.

Requirements:

•        -Knowledgeable or willing to learn about composting and sustainable practices.
•        -Ability to lift and transport heavy bins of food waste.
•        -Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•        -Experience working with children and creating educational activities.
•        -Ability to work independently and take initiative.
•        -Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
