Compost Coordinator

Description:
-Manage the food scrap collection at the drop-off site, including setting up and
breaking down the collection bins, ensuring proper sorting of food waste, and
transporting the food waste to the compost facility.
-Provide information to market attendees about composting and the benefits of
diverting food waste from landfills.
-Create and lead youth activities related to composting and sustainable practices at
the market.
-Work with the Market Manager to ensure compliance with local regulations related to
composting and food waste management.
-Maintain accurate records related to food scrap collection, including weights and
volumes of food waste collected.
Requirements:
-Knowledgeable or willing to learn about composting and sustainable practices.
-Ability to lift and transport heavy bins of food waste.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Experience working with children and creating educational activities.
-Ability to work independently and take initiative.
-Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
