Uptown & Boogie Healthy Project, Inc. (UBHP) promotes health equity by providing communities in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx access to nutritious food, wellness resources, and educational opportunities. Our programs and initiatives empower individuals and families to lead healthier lives.

What You’ll Do:

• Design visually appealing graphics for digital and print materials.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create eye-catching visuals for campaigns.
• Maintain brand consistency across products, platforms, and messaging.
• Assist with designing web graphics, banner ads, and social media ads.
• Work with the Community Engagement team to design signage for various community events.
• Stay updated on design trends and best practices.
• Assist in producing marketing collateral, including brochures, banners, and presentations.

What We’re Looking For:

• College students pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Passion for agriculture and community service.
• Strong proficiency in design software such as Canva, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• A strong portfolio showcasing design skills.
• Attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a self-motivated approach to learning.
• Comfortable in people-facing roles with a collaborative mindset.
• An interest in architecture is a plus.

• Commitment: Ability to dedicate time and effort to a 6-week internship, contributing actively to team projects.
• Collaboration: Willingness to work alongside diverse teams, including marketing, community engagement, and design, while encouraging a positive team dynamic.
• Proactive Learning: Take the initiative to grow beyond the tasks by utilizing available study resources and applying new knowledge quickly.
• Passion for Community Impact: A genuine interest in making a tangible difference through design, particularly in community-focused agricultural initiatives.

• Creative Problem-Solver: Ability to think outside the box and approach design challenges with fresh, innovative ideas.
• Strong Communication Skills: Comfort with giving and receiving feedback and effectively communicating design concepts and ideas.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where priorities may shift quickly.
• Attention to Detail: You’ll be involved in various design tasks that require accuracy and consistency.
