Uptown & Boogie Healthy Project

(Commonly referred to as UBHP) is a non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of living in communities through access to healthy foods, engagement, and other resources related to sustainability. Our programs aim to close gaps in underserved neighborhoods where food insecurities and limited access or visibility to high-quality, affordable food is common.

LEARN ABOUT WHAT WE DO

Good Food Access

UBHP, at its core, brings fresh produce, along with other high-quality foods and products, within reach - not only in physical proximity but also in affordability. We host farmers markets, stands, and exploring mobile markets to help improve those efforts.

Community Engagement

By hosting various markets, stands, and other events, UBHP continues to advocate for the importance of healthy eating and sustainable living, for its impacts on overall physical well-being and eco-impacts. This includes adults and youth. We also offer kids activities and facilitate internship opportunities for young adults.

Sustainability

UBHP is working to minimize its carbon footprint and provides tools and encouragement to those served to do the same. Some of those tools include educational tips and tricks on being green-conscious, hosting community green space(s), composting, and even upcycling clothing.
